1 lb Package Cube Steaks (3-4 slices), frozen
We have changed up our Scallopini up a bit and now offer you Cube Steak! While still perfect hammered out for Chicken Fried Steak, Scallopini Saltimbocca, Piccata, & Marsala, it can also be used in Slow-Cooked Cube Steak & Gravy recipes! These versatile little slices are cut from the bottom round, then run through a tenderizer (hence the "cube" markings). If using them in a high-heat/ fast-cooking recipe (chicken fried steak and scallopini, for instance), hammer them thin first with a meat mallet. No need to further tenderize for slow-cooking applications-- you can use them as-is!
